On the 18th October kindergarten and reception class held their assembly in which the theme was “Our different cultures”.
We took this opportunity to celebrate that we are all different and unique. Students got to learn about their classmates’ cultures and how diverse our school is. They took part in learning traditional dances that were performed throughout the assembly as well as each student reading a statement on why culture is important and why we should celebrate it. Our assembly was closed with a fashion show of each child showing their beautiful traditional cultural wear.
We benefited immensely on the active participation of the parents who also came and provided food specific from their cultures for us all to try. This allowed us to explore culturally different foods and tastes. We would like to express gratitude once again to all the parent for being involved.
